CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) has
arrested a suspect in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred on
October 8, 2025, in the 2300 block of Kirby Avenue.
The suspect, Demetrius Carter (03/31/2002) was located by CPD's Fugitive
Unit. CPD's Homicide Unit has charged Carter with Attempted First Degree
Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He is in custody at the
Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
